Actually, I am really interested in hearing more about this, as I too was in the process of designing an alternative fuels "superbike", and one of the aspects I haven't been focusing on as much recently is that kind of digital interface.

Speaking of interfaces - (about outdoor display devices) does anyone know what the long term effects of UV are on either LEDs or LCDs...?
I know they have flexible panel displays, etc, but I'm curious what these things' durability are... (will they hold up if one of my drunk buddies puts a beer on it, or if a blade or tother sharp edge can cut their surface, etc.)
